A Message From Our Owner
As we pass the 28-year mark, I find myself reflecting on where we’ve been, how we have arrived where we are, and what I see in the future.
I believe we are all born and pre-wired with a few key strengths that determine our path through life.
I believe that I was born pre-wired to serve. That can mean many things, but in the end, it means exactly that: My “why” is to serve. It has been a common theme throughout my life. As a teen, I did volunteer work at a hospital. I changed bedpans, cleaned patients with soiled bedclothes and linens, helped patients get around to where they needed to go, and more. I did all this because it made me feel good. I have volunteered my time, talents, and money over the years to a multitude of causes. Always, I have done this out of a desire to serve, not for what I might be able to get out of it.
When I started Campbell Comfort Systems, part of it was out of necessity (my children were young and had this curious habit of wanting to eat every day). But it wasn’t about just supporting my family. I wanted to create something that would be the ultimate vehicle to serve. I get such tremendous satisfaction when we take such good care of a customer’s problem(s) that they reward us with continual business. The ultimate testament to that is we are now serving the third generation of many of our original customers’ families.
But WHY do I want to provide the BEST customer service experience? Over my life, I have experienced firsthand the horrible way many businesses treat their customers. Probably because of my inner drive to serve, I simply decided that if I was going to invest the time, energy, and resources to provide a service to the market, I would make it noticeably different by providing a level of service that our customers would fall in love with.
As the company grew because of this level of service, I realized that the only way I could serve more people was through others. That is why we have attracted the employees that we have over the years.
I believe that the folks who work with us now and those we will attract in the future have the same commitment to service that I have. We train them for competence and then allow them the opportunity and freedom to do what they love: to truly serve you.
